Palo-Alto in GNS3-Part-2

Now open and edit the .VMX file in notepad, and replace the all e1000 with vmxnet3 in ethernetX.virtualDev

Eg.

Old Entry:- ethernet3.virtualDev = "e1000"

New Entry:- ethernet3.virtualDev = "vmxnet3"

 

 

 

Configuration of the Virtual interfaces should be as below shown in the screen shot, VMware Bridge Protocol should be ticked

 

Now power on the VM machine and login with username and password, change the PA system Ip address to the IP you want to access from your browser, in my case I have changed it to 192.168.10.2, remember to commit to refelect the changes you have done.

 

 

 

Now we will configure the interface in PA and assign it to the virtual router and Security zone, I will also assign a Management profile to each interface allowing Ping, so that we can ping the interfaces.
